About Us
The Michigan Master Logger Program is overseen by the Master Logger Committee, which is made up of Master Loggers, and
which insures compliance of program standards and provides guidance for the program. The program is for loggers, by
loggers.
A Certifying Board made up of forest sector representatives provides guidance to the Master Logger Committee, and
determines certification status based on interviews and field audits.
"The Michigan Association of Timbermen fully supports the Michigan Master Logger Program and encourages its members to
participate in this valuable program. Michigan Master Loggers set themselves apart from and above the competition through
their participation." ~Brenda Owen, former MAT Executive Director
The Michigan Master Logger Program is supported by funding from the Michigan SFI Implementation Committee. To learn
